Dr Laura Tellechea
Laura Maria Tellechea, MD, MPH, FACOG is a double board-certified obstetrician–gynecologist with advanced fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery from Einstein Montefiore, within a combined Urology and Gynecology program. She is dedicated to improving women’s quality of life through compassionate, high-quality care for complex urologic and gynecologic conditions.
Dr. Tellechea specializes in vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgery and is certified in Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) and Robotic Surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Florida State University, a Master of Public Health from the University of Miami, and her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine. She completed her surgical internship at Tufts/Baystate Medical Center and her gynecology residency at Rutgers.
Dr. Tellechea is actively involved in clinical and academic research, with a particular interest in socioeconomic disparities in pelvic floor disorders. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has worked internationally to advance women’s health.
